RITA BISWAS
Dr. Rita Biswas is currently the Ackner-Newman Endowed Professor of Business and Innovation and Associate Professor of Finance in the Massry School of Business in University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY), Albany, NY, USA. She has been a faculty member at SUNY-Albany since 1990. Rita Biswas grew up in a small British-owned copper mining colony in the state of Bihar, India. She has two sons and an indifferent cat. She enjoys foreign travel, languages and cultures. She is a global music aficionado.

My name in Benjamin Rosado Jr. I am originally from NYC, currently live in Richmond VA. I am very proud of my Cuban Puerto Rican heritage as I look forward in helping to assist with getting out the Latino Pride via culture, music and art.

LIA ROBERTS
My name is Lia Roberts. I grew up in Colonie, NY, and attended South Colonie
Central School District. I began Spanish classes when I was in 5th grade
fell in love with the language. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in arts with a Spanish major at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. I knew I
wanted to pursue a volunteer position using my Spanish skills in some way in the Latino
community. I found the Albany Latin Fest, starting as a Road Marshal, I have been
with them ever since. Volunteering is one of my favorite social activities and hobbies. I support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within our board as well as the volunteers who help out annually at Albany Latin Fest. We welcome your support and talents!

My name is Carmen, I was born and raised in the Bronx, I pursued nursing and currently work in the community. I have much love for family, food and culture. I believe in giving back to the community, which lead me to working with ALFA for a couple of years now and have enjoyed the experiences it has brought.
